Artist Statement

Megan Thompson, seveneyestosee (b. Athens, Ga, 1980), is a multidisciplinary ceremonial artist, creative explorer, and mystic who weaves together spirit, energy, intuition and matter in direct collaboration with the quantum field, giving form to the invisible forces that shape our reality.  She views life as ritual and devotion to creativity and love.  She builds installations and interaticve immersion experiences with natural elements, ceramic, wild clay, textile and paper mache sculptures.  She also utilizes photography, sound, scent and poetry in her work to generate distinct, integrated environments of creativity for participants to connect to their own boundless realms of magic that are available in and around us daily.  Her practice is rooted in a passionate philosophy of art as service and means for community connection, transformation and societal healing.

After attending fashion school in Atlanta, Ga, she moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music in 2001. She went on to work as a celebrity makeup artist, creative director, music video director and stylist for 17 years.  During that time, she infused creativity and beauty into countless musicians’ careers that make up the bedrock of Music City.  Following a period of personal spiritual awakening, she started to explore other forms of art in relation to the unseen dimensions of existence and ancient wisdom.  Her love for the Earth and everything She births inspires artistic expression.

Megan is the creator of Art Immersive Ceremonies, a healing modality that invites participants to engage with a sacred intuitive art installation, where the creative act becomes a catalyst for personal healing & transformation. She is also the founder and director of Metamorphosis, a group space for herself and her Nashville community to gather, learn, express and transform.
